Putting a Spotlight on excellence
It’s no secret that at Sim Trava, we regard our people as our most valuable asset and we strive to ensure excellence is recognised and rewarded internally.
This is why it fills us with such pride to announce that one of our own has just been nationally-recognised for their contribution to our business.
Fighting off tough competition from across the country, Luci Stone, a store manager at one of our Costa Coffee stores in Cheshire, has been named ‘Family Business Employee of the Year’ in the 2016 One4all Spotlight Awards, following a public vote.
Luci joined the Sim Trava family as a trainee barista back in 2010 and has quickly progressed up through the ranks – making assistant manager within her first year and then store manager two years later.
An embodiment of our values, Luci has dedicated herself to not only delivering excellent in-store customer service, but also to helping Sim Trava grow from strength to strength on a wider scale.
Winner of Sim Trava’s ‘store manager of the year’ in 2014, Luci has stood out from day one and continues to play a pivotal role within our business. In fact, a key figure within the Sim Trava Academy, Luci is out of store two days a week to travel across the region and help managers in all stores roll out new procedures and policies. Luci also plays an integral role in supporting the delivery of our internal NVQ programme.
And, on top of all of this, Luci is a really fantastic manager. There to support her team, Luci grows all of her staff alongside the business and, even in the face of all of her successes, she has never lost sight of what is important – the people. Luci knows and understands each of her team individually – getting the best out of each person by playing to each of their unique strengths to create a synergy that works to complement the business as a whole.
Thank you for all of your hard work and congratulations, Luci, from all of the Sim Trava family – you deserve it.
