To ensure all our recruits fit in with the core Sim Trava values and ethos, our recruitment process sets to identify people that we know will fit well into the team. Please note that we do not accept CVs; all recruitment is done on our online application process. You can check out our full recruitment and selection process below:
Identifying a role
Start by identifying a role you think might suit you on our website’s ‘current vacancies’ page. This page is updated with all of our current vacancies, plus future opportunities. You might also find out about jobs within Sim Trava in one of our stores, during an open day, or on a recruitment advert or poster.
Once you’ve found a role suitable for you, you can register your interest and apply through our easy to use website. Upon clicking on a role that interests you, you’ll be directed to our recruitment platform e-Talent. Here, you’ll be invited to complete our online assessment which is set to determine if you’re a good fit for the role. This process may take up to 30 minutes to complete online. On completion, you’ll receive an email from us to let you know we’ve received your application.
After this, we’ll shortlist the applications and invite those that are successful to a first stage interview. At this stage we’ll want to learn more about you, how you could make a difference in the role, the reasons why you want to work for Sim Trava, and why you think you’d be a good fit in our team.
If successful at this stage, you will be asked to attend a store for an “on the job evaluation”. This is to ensure you are happy working in this kind of environment, as well as giving you the opportunity to meet the team and interact with our customers.
Following second stage interview, successful applicants will receive a job offer. Unsuccessful applicants will receive an email confirming the outcome within a few days.
Welcoming you to Sim Trava
Before you start with us, we’ll ensure you’re fully equipped with all the information you need in order to feel comfortable on your first day. Once you start, you’ll be given a full induction and introduction to the team. We’ll also welcome all successful candidates to Sim Trava’s Central office within the first eight weeks of the role.
Usually, probationary periods run for up to six months. However, in order to help you settle into the role, your manager will sit down with you monthly to talk about how you’re settling in, and provide you with feedback on your progress with us.
